For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:
BIM Structure Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)
The BIM Structural Engineer – Shop Drawings is responsible for developing, coordinating, and producing accurate structural shop drawings and 3D BIM models based on approved structural design drawings and project specifications. The role involves coordinating with other disciplines to ensure compliance with project requirements, design standards, and construction needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural shop drawings using Autodesk Revit Structure.
- Develop detailed 3D BIM models based on structural design drawings.
- Produce structural plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules directly from Revit models.
- Prepare reinforcement detailing for concrete structural elements, where required.
- Review structural design drawings and identify discrepancies or missing information.
- Update Revit models and shop drawings based on engineering comments and revisions.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, BIM standards, and quality procedures.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM coordinators, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues.
- Meet project deadlines and ensure the timely delivery of drawings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure.
- Good knowledge of structural shop drawing preparation.
- Ability to create and manage detailed structural BIM models.
- Knowledge of reinforcement detailing and structural concrete elements.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks is an advantage.
