For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:
Senior Telecommunication Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)
We're looking for an experienced Senior Telecommunication Engineer with more than 10 years of expertise in railway telecommunications, DWDM/SDH transmission systems, FTTH/GPON networks, telecom commissioning, testing, operation, and maintenance. Proven track record in large-scale telecom and railway infrastructure projects across Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Skilled in design review, testing & commissioning, network integration, troubleshooting, technical support, and project coordination
Responsibilities
- Review telecom design submissions, installation drawings, technical documents, and inspection reports.
- Supervise telecom installation, testing, and commissioning activities for railway and transmission systems.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, technical standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct site inspections and witness acceptance tests.
- Support centralized traffic control (CTC) and railway telecommunication systems implementation.
- Perform commissioning and integration of DWDM, SDH, OTN, and GPON systems.
- Monitor telecom transmission networks and manage troubleshooting activities.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Manage network fault handling, escalation procedures, and outage recovery processes.
- Support operation and maintenance teams during project execution and handover phases.
- Lead installation teams and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering – Electronics & Communications.
- 8-10 years of experience in Telecommunication Engineering and telecom infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in Railway Telecommunications, Signaling Systems, and Centralized Traffic Control (CTC).
- Hands-on experience in DWDM, SDH, OTN, FTTH, and GPON technologies.
- Proven expertise in testing, commissioning, integration, operation, and maintenance of telecom systems.
- Experience working on large-scale telecom and railway projects in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic networks, transmission systems, and network troubleshooting.
- Ability to review technical designs, drawings, and project documentation.
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
- Familiar with telecom tools and software, including MATLAB, ORCAD, and MS Office.
