For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:
RAMS Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)
The ideal candidate is a graduate of an engineering faculty with at least 3 years of experience in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) engineering, demonstrating a good understanding of hazard analysis, SIL allocation and reliability modelling for rail and metro systems. Familiar with international standards such as EN 50126/50128/50129 and IEC 61508, and with various RAMS analysis and data tools
Responsibilities
• Support the system RAMS engineer and own RAMS deliverables for assigned projects
• Perform hazard analysis activities: PHA, HAZOP, ALARP demonstration, and Interface Hazard Analysis
• Perform SIL allocation and demonstration, and maintain the Hazard Log with safety-target traceability
• Ensure designs and deliverables comply with EN 50126/50128/50129 and IEC 61508
• Perform reliability analyses: FMEA/FMECA, fault tree, RBD, RCM and RCA
• Carry out availability modelling, degraded-mode analysis, and maintainability and testability studies
• Calculate and track RAM indicators (MTBF, MTTR, downtime, spare parts lists) using SPC and statistical methods
• Manage FRACAS: analyse field and repair data and classify failures
• Contribute to predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance plans using CMMS tools such as IBM Maximo
• Participate in safety reviews and audits
• Coordinate with design, testing, maintenance, quality and client teams to resolve interfaces
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design. (Transportation projects are an advantage)
- Strong proficiency in structural design and 3D analytical modeling for concrete structures
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and international codes, specifically Eurocode and ACI
- Proficient in various structural analysis and design software. (Sofistik is an advantage)
