For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:
Junior Hydrology & Drainage Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)
The Ideal Candidate will be well acquainted with the Middle East hydraulic design environment and will be working on iconic and large-scale projects in the Region.
Responsibilities
- Undertake hydrological analysis including, but not limited to, rainfall analysis, catchment delineation and peak flow estimation
- Using widely used and recognised software such as WMS and HEC-HMS.
- Studying and developing flood mitigation countermeasures and stormwater networks with minimum supervision.
- Perform 2D hydraulic simulations, using widely used and recognized software such as HEC-RAS or ICM Infoworks.
- Carry out the hydraulic design of culverts, using widely used and recognized software such as HY8.
- Carry out the hydraulic computations of open flow drainage structures.
- Carry out the hydraulic design of bridges, performing scour studies and sizing the scour countermeasures. CONSIDERED AS A PLUS: Preparation of technical reports. Drafting technical drawings. 3D modeling in Civil3D.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hydrology and stormwater drainage design. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university. Sound knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics principles.
- Working experience in road and rail projects. Working experience in the GCC region (min. 1 year) and knowledge of the local design standards and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of the international design standards and codes for hydrology and drainage design (HEC series).
- Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software such as AUTOCAD and C3D
