For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Senior Plumbing and Firefighting Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate is a technically accomplished and delivery-focused mechanical engineer with over 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the mechanical design team, coordination, and delivery of major infrastructure and building projects, including underground structures, metro stations, tunnels, and large-scale facilities.
• Oversee Plumbing, Fire protection systems to ensure design quality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate closely with clients, authorities, and contractors to clarify technical requirements, resolve design issues, and support approvals.
• Drive value engineering and energy efficiency across the design process.
• Manage and mentor mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.
• Contribute to project planning, reporting, and delivery tracking, ensuring timely submission of coordinated design packages.
• Calculations: Performing, reviewing and validating hydraulic calculations using Elite for fire calculation, designing procedures for different types of fire suppression systems and preparing calculations for plumbing systems
• Design and Drafting: Prepare detailed drawings Utilize CAD or Revit software to create layouts for fire suppression (sprinklers, hydrants) and plumbing systems (water supply, drainage...etc).
• Technical Coordination Work with architects and other engineers to ensure MEP systems do not conflict with building structures.
• System configuration Follow code requirements and common practices to produce highly efficient systems.
• Technical Support Equipment selection (Pumps and other system equipment).

Qualifications

• Design and coordination of building services and infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership in managing mechanical design team
• Deliverables across complex projects such as metro stations, tunnels, airports, industrial facilities and large mixed-use developments.
• Balance of technical depth, multidisciplinary coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
• Candidates with exposure to infrastructure and transportation projects (such as railways or airports) or experience working on GCC-based projects will be given preference.
