For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Junior Roads Design Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The Candidate should be aware of CAD. An intermediate level of CAD could be accepted

Responsibilities

• Assist in the geometric design of roads, including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, and intersections
• Prepare and review engineering drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software
• Conduct earthwork calculations, cut/fill analysis, and quantity take-offs
• Support drainage design, including pipe networks, culverts, and channel sizing, in coordination with hydraulic/hydrology teams
• Assist in pavement design calculations (flexible/rigid) and material specifications
• Process and incorporate survey/topographic data into design models
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and specifications
• Coordinate with other design disciplines (structural, utilities, drainage, traffic) to ensure design integration and clash resolution
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements (e.g., AASHTO or applicable local highway design manual)
• Assist senior engineers in preparing design deliverables for tender documents and technical proposals
• Perform design checks and quality control on drawings and calculations
• Incorporate review comments and revise designs accordingly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3 years of relevant experience in roads/highway design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required); familiarity with other design software
