Job Title (Senior BIM Structural Engineer)
Job Summary
The Senior BIM Structural Engineer leads the development, coordination, and quality control of 3D structural BIM models for Different types of concrete structures. The role ensures that structural models meet design intent, BIM standards, and project requirements while supporting coordination with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers, insure the reinforcement details are considered with the suitable presentation, and fully formwork details are considered.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Experience
- 7–12 years of structural engineering experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on BIM structural modeling experience.
- Bridges and infrastructure experience is a must in addition to other structures.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of reinforced concrete structures.
- Strong understanding of Formwork, reinforcement detailing, and constructability.
- Software proficiency:
- Revit Structure (advanced – mandatory)
- Navisworks (advanced clash detection)
- AutoCAD (reference use)
- Excel (quantities and reporting)
BIM Expertise
- Strong understanding of:
- BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
- LOD 300–400 requirements
- Model coordination and clash management
- CDE workflows (ACC / BIM 360)
- Parametric modeling and data consistency
Soft & Leadership Skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
