For our office in Riyadh, we are looking for

ITS Subject Matter Expert

ARX is recruiting a senior ITS Subject Matter Expert to support us delivering major PMC road projects within Riyadh. This role is ideal for a senior professional with strong ITS systems delivery experience across design review, installation oversight, integration, and testing & commissioning, working within a PMC/consultancy environment.

You will act as the technical authority for ITS across multiple corridors and packages, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert leadership for ITS scope across the program (technical governance and compliance).
• Review and endorse ITS deliverables including drawings, specifications, BoQs, method statements, and ITPs.
• Oversee delivery and integration of core ITS systems such as:
  • CCTV / video management
  • VMS (Variable Message Signs)
  • ATMS / Traffic Management Centre (TMC) interfaces
  • Fiber optic network, telecom, cabinets, and field devices
  • Detection systems (radar/loops/cameras) and communication infrastructure
• Lead resolution of technical issues including RFIs, NCRs, site constraints, design gaps, and interface challenges.
• Support installation supervision, inspections, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
• Lead or support Testing & Commissioning (T&C) planning, witness testing, and ensure handover readiness.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and authorities to ensure approvals and smooth delivery.
• Mentor senior ITS engineers and ensure consistent quality across packages.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunications / Systems Engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum 15 years of relevant ITS experience in major road/highway programs.
• Strong knowledge of ITS architecture, field devices, telecom/fiber networks, and system integration.
• Proven experience in design review + construction supervision + T&C (end-to-end delivery).
• Experience working with PMC / consultant / client-side delivery teams is preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills; ability to lead technical discussions with multiple parties.
• English required (Arabic is an advantage).
