For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Senior Electrical Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate shall have significant experience (7+ years) in Electrical Design Engineering for medium and low voltage power systems, as well as ELV, ICT, and low-current systems, with a strong emphasis on leading complex projects. Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and mechanical experience will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and prepare electrical, telecommunication, ICT, and ELV design works for buildings, infrastructure, retail, landscape, and utility projects, including but not limited to lighting, power (MV & LV), HVAC power, structured cabling, CCTV, public address, access control, fire alarm, lightning protection, earthing systems, and cable routing (plans, SLDs, and details).
• Prepare all necessary calculation sheets, including voltage drop, short circuit, illumination (lux), generator sizing, load estimation, transformer sizing, and load schedules.
• Ensure all designs, drawings, and documents comply with current codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Manage the design process from the conceptual stage through detailed design to final construction documentation, including BOQs, tender packages, and technical specifications.
• Lead and mentor junior electrical engineers, providing technical guidance, reviewing their work, and ensuring deliverables meet project quality standards and deadlines.
• Coordinate and follow up on project data and reports with other disciplines and departments to ensure full design integration.
• Ensure design deliverables are prepared accurately, efficiently, and within the required timelines. Review and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) in a professional and timely manner.
• Conduct Value Engineering (VE) studies to optimize electrical, ICT, and ELV designs for cost-effectiveness, performance, and safety.
• Review all electrical, ICT, and ELV design works (buildings, infrastructure, retail, landscape, etc.) prepared by outsourced consultants to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
• Prepare all tendering and award documentation required for project procurement and contractor selection.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers during layout reviews, design reviews, technical workshops, and 3D/BIM model sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Fully understands and utilizes the capabilities, applications, and operations of computer software associated with design assignments, such as and not limited to (ETAP, ECODIAL, Dailux, Dailux Evo, etc).
• Design and Co-ordination skills.
• Ability to work in team-oriented environment.
• Computer Skills (Microsoft office, REVIT MEP "BIM Modelling", Auto-CAD, etc.).
• Knowledge in BMS, SCADA and PLC will be an added advantage.
• High level of Communication with Internal and External Parties.
