For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Landscape Architect (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape design and technical delivery, with the ability to integrate aesthetic vision, environmental sustainability, and constructability. They will demonstrate solid experience in developing landscape concept and detailed design packages, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and understanding of site implementation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop landscape design concepts, detailed design, and construction documentation in alignment with project requirements and design intent.
• Prepare masterplans, planting layouts, hardscape details, irrigation layouts, and material specifications.
• Coordinate landscape design with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure fully integrated project delivery.
• Conduct site analysis including climate, topography, vegetation, and environmental factors to inform design decisions.
• Participate in value engineering and design review processes to enhance project efficiency and quality.
• Support BIM-based landscape modeling and collaborate with BIM teams for coordination and documentation.
• Prepare tender drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications for landscape works. Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor proposals for compliance with design intent.
• Provide technical guidance during construction stages, including responding to RFIs and conducting site visits as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, and sustainability goals.
• Utilize design and visualization tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop) to produce presentation materials.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of landscape materials, technologies, and regional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or architecture (master's in landscape architecture is an advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in landscape design, documentation, and coordination for large-scale or multidisciplinary projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination workflows.
• Strong design and visualization skills using SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Experience in hardscape and softscape detailing, irrigation design coordination, and material specification.
• Familiarity with BIM platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360) and coordination standards.
• Strong creative and conceptual design ability.
• Excellent technical detailing and documentation skills.
• Effective coordination and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good understanding of sustainable design principles and regional environmental considerations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Knowledge of plant species suitable for the Gulf and Middle Eastern climates.
• Experience in value engineering, cost optimization, and construction support.
• Understanding of project workflows from concept to IFC stage.
