For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Senior Mechanical Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The Ideal Candidate will have minimum experience of 10 years for mechanical system design; BIM is a must.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordination of building services and infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership in managing mechanical design team.
• Deliverables across complex projects such as metro stations, tunnels, airports, industrial facilities and large mixed-use developments.
• Balance of technical depth, multidisciplinary coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
• Candidates with exposure to infrastructure and transportation projects (such as railways or airports) or experience working on GCC-based projects will be given preference.
• Manage the mechanical design team, coordination, and delivery of major infrastructure and building projects, including underground structures, metro stations, tunnels, and large-scale facilities.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and tunnel ventilation systems to ensure design quality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
• Provide technical direction and design strategy to ensure integration with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Review and validate mechanical calculations, design reports, and equipment selections, ensuring constructability and alignment with project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with clients, authorities, and contractors to clarify technical requirements, resolve design issues, and support approvals.
• Ensure compliance with international and local codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, BS, EN, SBC, etc.).
• Drive value engineering and energy efficiency across the design process.
• Manage and mentor mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.
• Contribute to project planning, reporting, and delivery tracking, ensuring timely submission of coordinated design packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical power engineering.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
