For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Senior Drainage and Hydrology Engineer(Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The Ideal Candidate shall be well acquainted with the Middle East hydraulic design environment and can hold a leading design position for large scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Junior Engineers.
• Supervise the Draftsmen in the preparation of the technical drawings.
• Supporting the Tender Department with the preparation of the technical proposals.
• Proposing Value Engineering technical solutions.
• Scheduling and resource planning.
• Track the design progress, assuring timely delivery and within the allocated budget.
• Supervise all design activities and assuring the level of quality of the deliverables according to the Contract Specifications.
• Coordinate with the other Disciplines for design interfaces.
• Manage correspondence and all communications with the various Stakeholders (Interfaces, NOC, etc.).
• Obtain the required input data from the various Sources and concerned Authorities.
• Attend Internal and External Coordination Meetings Follow-up with the review cycles until final approval.
• Support the Quantity Surveyors with the preparation of the BOQ, providing the drainage input.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in hydrology and stormwater drainage design.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a reputable University Sound knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics principles.
• Working experience in road and rail projects.
• Working experience in the GCC region (min. 3 years) and knowledge of the local design standards and procedures Knowledge of the international design standards and codes for hydrology and drainage design Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software such as AUTOCAD and C3D Proficiency in hydraulic software including, but not limited to HEC-RAS, HECH-MS, WMS, HY8, Hydraulic Toolbox, SEWER GEMS, SSA Agile with ARCGIS, Global Mapper, Q-GIS Sound knowledge of basic working software such as WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Adobe.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• CONSIDERED AS A PLUS
• Master's degree in Hydraulics from a reputable University Professional qualification (ICE, CIWEM, etc.).
• PhD in one of the main Hydraulics Sub-Disciplines.
• Knowledge of Sustainable Drainage Design principles and criteria Experienced in working with Dynamo, Subassembly composer, Inventor, Infraworks.
• Experienced in working with Infoworks ICM Experienced in working with Excel VBA.
• Experienced in working with other programming languages (i.e. Phyton) to automate hydraulic design tasks and create personalized solutions.
• Knowledge of user-wide measurement standards, including but not limited to CESMtail.
