For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Junior Highway Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

Highly motivated Junior Highway Engineer with a minimum experience of 3 years, to join our Cairo, Egypt office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of highway design drawings, including plan, profile, and cross-sections using AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or equivalent software).
• Support senior engineers in developing horizontal and vertical alignments, junction layouts, and road geometry.
• Prepare and update quantity take-offs, design calculations, and technical reports as part of the design process.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as drainage, utilities, and traffic to ensure integrated design outputs.
• Assist in reviewing design drawings and documentation for accuracy and compliance with project standards.
• Participate in site data collection, surveys, and reconnaissance visits when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to QA/QC procedures for design submissions.
• Learn and apply relevant local and international design standards
• Provide drafting support and contribute to design revisions and updates as per client or authority comments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in highway or road design (fresh graduates with strong academic background are encouraged to apply).
• Basic understanding of geometric design principles and highway elements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Civil 3D
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Enthusiastic to learn, adapt, and grow within the transportation design field.
