For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:

Senior Highway Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

Highly motivated and experienced Senior Highway Engineer with a minimum experience of 10 years, preferably with a minimum of 5 years of Middle East experiences to join our Cairo, Egypt office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geometric design for highways and roads including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, and junction layouts.
• Develop and review design drawings such as plan, profile, cross-section, and corridor modeling using Civil 3D or equivalent tools.
• Ensure designs comply with local and international design standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including drainage, structures, utilities, and traffic to ensure design integration.
• Prepare and review design reports, quantity take-offs (BOQs), and technical documentation for submissions.
• Conduct design reviews, quality checks, and constructability assessments.
• Support value engineering exercises to optimize design efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Respond to client and contractor queries during design and construction phases.
• Participate in site visits and surveys to collect or verify design data.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and CAD technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in highway or road design.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD & Civil 3D.
• Familiar with international and local road design standards
• Experience in interchange design, roundabout design, and access management.
• Understanding of pavement design concepts, drainage coordination, and utility corridor planning.
• Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
• GCC or international consultancy experience is an advantage.
