The role calls for strong leadership in managing mechanical design deliverables across complex projects such as metro stations, tunnels, airports, industrial facilities, and large mixed-use developments.

The position requires a balance of technical depth, multidisciplinary coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Candidates with exposure to infrastructure and transportation projects (such as railways or airports) or experience working on GCC-based projects will be given preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical design, coordination, and delivery of major infrastructure and building projects, including underground structures, metro stations, tunnels, and large-scale facilities.
  • Oversee HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and tunnel ventilation systems to ensure design quality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide technical direction and design strategy to ensure integration with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.
  • Review and validate mechanical calculations, design reports, and equipment selections, ensuring constructability and alignment with project specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with clients, authorities, and contractors to clarify technical requirements, resolve design issues, and support approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local codes and standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, BS, EN, SBC, etc.).
  • Drive value engineering and energy efficiency across the design process.
  • Manage and mentor mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.
  • Contribute to project planning, reporting, and delivery tracking, ensuring timely submission of coordinated design packages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical design and coordination for large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems for complex facilities.
  • Experience in transportation, aviation, or underground projects (such as metro, airport, or tunnel works) is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM platforms, and analytical tools such as CFD simulation software (e.g., SES, ANSYS Fluent).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design codes and safety standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, BS, EN, SBC).
  • Solid coordination and communication skills in a multidisciplinary, client-facing consultancy environment.
  • GCC project experience is a strong advantage.
  • Professional accreditation (C.Eng, PE, or equivalent) is preferred.

We Offer:

  • Opportunity to collaborate with a forward-thinking, synergistic, and innovative team.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge projects driving Middle East / North African regions development.
