Data Center Portfolio Manager - 100%(m/f)

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Portfolio Manager to lead the planning, design, and execution of mission-critical data center infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee multi-disciplinary engineering teams, manage external consultants/contractors, and ensure all data center facilities meet the highest standards of reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of architects, mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure engineers.
  • Manage external design consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless handover and maintainability of facilities.
• Design & Engineering
  • Oversee the design and implementation of Tier III/Tier IV data center infrastructure (power, cooling, fire protection, security, and structured cabling).
  • Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulations.
• Project Management
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data center projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Develop budgets, schedules, and risk assessments for capital projects.
  • Ensure alignment between design, cost, and operational performance targets.
• Operations & Reliability
  • Implement best practices for energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational resilience.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of systems (power, cooling, fire protection, automation).

  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

    
    

Requirements:

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in data center design, delivery, or operations.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, redundancy strategies, and data center standards.
• Proven track record managing cross-functional teams and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience in GCC/Middle East region is highly desirable (for local context).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with commercial awareness.
• Proficiency in project management tools and engineering design software.

• Problem-solving mindset with focus on resilience and innovation.
